OVERVIEW

By ordering from Sweet Suzie O’s Bakes you agree to the terms and conditions set out below.  Please read these terms and conditions carefully.  The terms and conditions set out the entire agreement between the customer (buyer) and Sweet Suzie O’s Bakes (seller) for the sale of cake(s).  It is your responsibility to check that all of the details on the online order confirmation form are complete and precise as this is the document that I work to when finishing your order.  I reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these terms and conditions by posting updates and/or changes to my website.  The customer is responsible for checking this page regularly for changes.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send me an email suzanne.oman@hotmail.co.uk or telephone me on my mobile 07966 595083.

LEAD TIMES

I require 1 months’ notice for single tier celebration cake orders and 3 months’ notice for wedding cakes. For cupcakes, I require 2 weeks’s notice.  At times, I may be able to work to a shorter time frame, so please do make an enquiry.

For orders being placed for single tier celebration cakes, at short notice (less than 14 days) full payment in advance (non-refundable) will be required.  Wedding cake orders placed within 6 weeks of the wedding date will require full payment in advance (non-refundable).  Cupcakes placed within 1 week will also require full payment in advance (non-refundable).

QUOTATIONS AND PAYMENT TERMS

Initially, I will need you to complete my online enquiry form, giving me as much information as possible on your upcoming event.  Also, please clearly specify any known allergens that you or your guests may have.  Once I am in receipt of the completed online enquiry form I will confirm my availability and provide you with a detailed quotation and my terms and conditions, the quotation will be valid for 7 days from the quotation date.  If you decide to go ahead with my quotation, please sign and return the quotation to me.   I will then send you an email attaching an online order confirmation form, an invoice and a list of these terms and conditions.  The order confirmation form and terms and conditions will both need to be signed and returned to me along with payment of the requested deposit.  Please see the payment timelines below:

Single Tier Celebration Cakes

50% non-refundable deposit of total cost due at time of booking

50% of total cost due 2 weeks before delivery

50% non-refundable deposit of total cost due at time of booking

50% of total cost due 6 weeks before delivery

Cupcakes

50% non-refundable deposit of total cost due at time of booking

50% of total cost due 1 week before delivery

Please send me written confirmation (suzanne.oman@hotmail.co.uk) when your deposit has been paid.    Orders will not be classed as confirmed, and dates are not reserved until the deposit has been received and funds have cleared into my bank account.  No contract is made with you until I have received your initial deposit, signed order confirmation form and signed copy of my terms and conditions.

The price for the order will be stated on your order confirmation form and invoice.  No VAT is payable on the cake(s). All prices are non-negotiable and priced according to your exact design and the size of your cake(s).  My form of payment is via BACS online bank transfer and my payment details will be set out on your invoice. Unfortunately cash on delivery cannot be accepted.  Making a payment to me means that you are accepting Sweet Suzie O’s Bakes Terms and Conditions detailed on this page and that you have read, understood and signed these Terms and Conditions.  I will send you an email reminder when your final payment is due.  If you are unable to complete payment of the final balance by the due date on the invoice your order will be cancelled and the initial deposit will not be refunded.

RIGHT TO CANCEL/REFUNDS

If for any reason you need to cancel your booking please email suzanne.oman@hotmail.co.uk without delay.  The cancellation date will be deemed to take effect from the time your email has been received by Sweet Suzie O’s Bakes.  All deposits are non-refundable, but may be transferred at my discretion and subject to availability.

In the unlikely event that I need to cancel an order/workshop, I will give as much notice as possible and furnish you with a full refund.

DESIGN & DECORATION
Whilst I will endeavour to match designs and colours provided, all cake(s) are handmade and therefore slight variances naturally occur. As a handmade product no two cake(s) can ever be identical and small flaws or imperfections do exist with any handmade food product.

ALTERATIONS AND CHANGES

Please check your order confirmation form very carefully and let me know, in writing, within 48 hours of your order being placed of any alterations and variations you may require.

DELIVERY

​Deliveries are made between 10 – 5 pm Monday to Saturday. If you require delivery for a specific time please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you, although this cannot be guaranteed and is dependent on my calendar. Any deliveries within a 5 mile radius of Fordingbridge will be delivered complimentary, however, deliveries over 5 miles will be chargeable at a cost of £1.00 per mile, and this includes the return journey.  I am not responsible for any damage to the cakes(s) after delivery is complete. You will be required to sign a cake(s) disclaimer form at the point of delivery. In the customer’s absence I am happy to deliver to an agreed designated person, this person will be required to sign a cake(s) disclaimer form. If the customer or designated person is not at home then the cake(s) will be returned to Sweet Suzie O’s Bakes kitchen and I will contact you to arrange a second delivery time, for which I will need to charge an additional fee for.  Sweet Suzie O’s Bakes is not responsible for any incorrect delivery dates, times or locations given by the customer.

All of my cake(s) are delivered in a lidded box with a complete list of ingredients and allergens. 

 

COMPLAINTS

If you have any concerns about your cake(s), please notify me upon delivery before signing the cake(s) disclaimer form to confirm that you are not satisfied.  This will give me an opportunity to rectify any issues.  If I am unable to resolve your complaint at the time, please put your complaint in writing within 14 days to suzanne.oman@hotmail.co.uk.  This will enable me to thoroughly investigate your issue and respond fully to you in writing.

 

FORCE MAJEURE

In the very rare and unlikely event that Sweet Suzie O’s Bakes is unable to fulfil your order/workshop due to circumstances beyond my control (e.g. car accident, poor road conditions, ill health, etc.). I cannot be held liable for more than the cost price of the ordered cake(s)/workshops and a full refund will be given.

INEDIBLE DECORATIONS & FLOWERS

​Non-edible items may be used as decorations or packaging for the products, these will be listed on the cake(s) disclaimer form.  It is the customers’ responsibility to ensure that any non-edible items are removed prior to the cutting and consumption of the cake(s).  Non-edible items are things such as, support dowels, ribbons, wires in sugar flowers, cocktail sticks, flower picks.  If fresh flowers are provided by an outside source, the customer acknowledges that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, or other contaminants.  Therefore, the customer acknowledges that there is no liability to Sweet Suzie O’s Bakes and any associated risks are taken by the customer.

 

PHOTOGRAPHS

I photograph every cake(s) and I reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion purpose without compensation to you (the customer).  If you wish to request that I do not use photographs of your order I will usually be content to do so, but please let me know your wishes at the time of ordering.

ALLERGENS

​Prior to placing an order/workshop, please discuss with me if you or any of your guests have any special dietary requirements.  It is the customer’s responsibility to make Sweet Suzie O’s Bakes aware of any special dietary requirements that need to be accommodated in the making of their cake(s).  I can accommodate some special dietary requirements, however please be aware that Sweet Suzie O’s Bakes is a working kitchen and is NOT an allergy free kitchen.  The following ingredients are some of those used in my kitchen: NUTS: PECANS, WALNUTS, ALMONDS, COCONUT, CASHEWS AND PEANUTS (THIS LIST IS NOT EXHAUSTIVE), WHEAT, GLUTEN, SOYA, MILK AND OTHER DAIRY PRODUCTS, EGGS, SEASAME, SEASAME SEEDS, OATS, SULPHUR DIOXIDE AND SULPHITES ARE PRESENT.  Some cake(s) can be made gluten free and vegan.  However, I cannot guarantee that my products are free from or did not come into contact with certain allergens in the above list.  ​Sweet Suzie O’s Bakes will not assume any liability for customers suffering allergic reactions from eating my cake(s).

All of my cake(s) are delivered boxed and lidded with a complete list of ingredients and allergens.  It is the customer’s responsibility to inform all of their guests about the allergens.  As part of the terms and conditions, which you signed, you agreed to notify your guests of this risk, as it is not the responsibility of Sweet Suzie O’s Bakes to make the relevant people aware of the allergen information.
